On behalf of our client, Manpower is looking for a highly experienced Process Engineer with a strong background in the processing industry, particularly in chemical, carbon, or heavy industries. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in process design, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and system optimization. They will be responsible for improving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety standards in complex industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Continuous development and implementation of production processes in compliance with best process practices and for optimal product quality
- Designs and implements systems and equipment procedures for production facilities (designs processes, tests, and monitors equipment, updates current system processes, and performs risk assessments)
- Performs processes and engineering design, including but not limited to piping systems, pump hydraulics, tanks and vessels, heat transfer equipment, control equipment, and process equipment
- Develops project documents including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, design bases, schedules, project estimates, bid documents, equipment specifications, etc.
- Plans and organizes project work for a multidisciplinary team including electrical designers, mechanical designers, civil designers, procurement, and administrative personnel in support of these tasks
- Research, designs, and specifies equipment, controls and processes for chemical, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and other industrial systems
- Establishes safety procedures for individuals working with hazardous chemicals and in Atex zones
- Assists the Engineering Department in planning, development and procurement of new equipment as required
- Conducts testing and monitors process performance throughout the production process
- Troubleshoots problems related to manufacturing processes
- Evaluates processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Process Engineering
- Relevant experience in Process Design preferable in the process industry (chemical, carbon, minerals)
- Advance knowledge in the process industry
- Responsible, cost-conscious, resilient, systematic, and analytical team player with drive and hands-on initiative
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
