Procurement Specialist

• Supplier Management: - Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and foster long-term partnerships. - Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Negotiation and Contract Management: - Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and service levels. - Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements. - Ensure compliance with contract terms and resolve any disputes that arise.
• Procurement Process Management: - Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order to delivery. - Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement transactions.
• Cost Control and Optimization: - Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement process. - Analyze market trends to understand the impact on pricing and availability of goods and services. - Work with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
• Compliance and Risk Management: - Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. - Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the procurement process.
• Collaboration and Support: - Work closely with husbanding/inland departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support in sourcing and acquiring necessary goods and services. - Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to procurement.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)) is a plus.
• Excellent English knowledge. German knowledge or any other language is a plus.
