Project Officer BiH

On behalf of our client, an international aid organization based in Berlin, dedicated to addressing the evolving needs of crisis- and conflict-affected populations, Manpower is seeking candidates for the position of: Project Officer BiH

Key responsibilities:

As a Project Officer in the Balkan Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for strengthening Food Security among vulnerable groups, via project implementation, development and fundraising responsibilities.

Project Implementation & Community Engagement

• Establish and coordinate community groups focused on food security initiatives. 
• Strengthen networks with volunteers, local NGOs, and institutions addressing food security. 
• Organize and facilitate conferences, workshops, and training sessions to promote food security awareness. 
• Provide capacity-building support for local organizations to enhance their effectiveness. 

• Assist in shaping country strategy for Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
• Identify and support the development of new project opportunities aligned with client’s mission. 
• Research and engage potential funding sources, assisting in securing financial support. 
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders while representing the organization’s impact. 

• Participate in internal team meetings and cross-departmental collaborations. 
• Contribute to a strong, positive, and united team environment aligned with client’s values. 
• Support professional processes and uphold the organization’s Code of Conduct. 

• Academic degree in social sciences, international development, humanitarian Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the humanitarian, peacebuilding and/or development sector, preferably including multiple stakeholder relations.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community development, groups facilitation, organizing conferences. 
• Strong representation, networking and partnership development skills and proven successful experience in raising donor funding. Existing networks as advantage.
• Excellent understanding of the local context in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the situation of vulnerable groups and their needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and a proven results-oriented attitude and approach.
